Alfa Romeo is well on their way to plugging up holes in their lineup with the Giulia sedan and the Stelvio crossover. With a high volume model like Stelvio hitting showrooms, we’d assume that Alfa Romeo would work on a new sports car or convertible, but the automaker already has the 4C and Giulietta. So what would be their next step?
CarScoops thinks there is potential in the United States market for a three-row crossover and Italian publication Trazione Posteriore, even had Marco Maltese create renderings of what it could look like. The seven-seater won’t be an elongated version of the Stelvio, but the rendering does take inspiration from the crossover’s design as that is what appeals to the global markets including North America.
What they wanted to convey in this design was a vehicle that can be used as a daily driver, to take on skiing trips or navigate around the Manhattan traffic, and be taken to a 5 star hotel. Or course, sitting under those clean lines is a performance engine capable of taking on the curves of Nürburgring.
But of course, nothing has been confirmed by Alfa Romeo so we’ll have to wait for an official word from the Italian company about their next move.
