Plastidipping Emblems

I thought that the logos looked a bit off on my white Ti Sport AWD with the black trim. I also did not want to buy black logos, as I'm on a lease and already got tint, tow hook mount, and CF spoiler.

So, I decided to go the super cheap route, and plastidipped them. It was so easy and came out great!

Tips: use a ton of masking (I used old curtains as drop cloths as I knew they wouldn't have any grit on them). Clean first!

Use 2 very light coats 15 min apart to start, then 3 thick coats at 30 min spacing. Wait longer than you think you need after the last coat before peeling.

When removing, peel parallel to the paint, like you would a perforated page.

Use wooden toothpicks to get the middle of the "Q" and the "A".

Pics below! Cost 7 dollars for the paint.

Had mine painted by a body shop. They bought the new emblems. Cost was $150.

I really like the black Q with the red 4.
