Hi Everyone I love my Giulia TI Lusso.. It's a great car. I am having one issue though. The passenger side rear view mirror does not automatically unfold when starting the car. The drivers side does just fine but the passenger side requires you to fiddle with the adjustment joystick to get it to unfold. Once it's unfolded the mirror is way out of adjustment and requires adjustment to be able to use. Also if I do not set the alarm the mirror adjusts itself out of angle when I start it. This is highly annoying. My dealer is researching it but They are super far away from me so I want to be sure they have a fix before taking it to them. :smile2:

I agree about the dealer I was hoping someone had this issue before and maybe had an Idea as to what it might be.

Having same issue with my drivers door mirror. It folds about half way out. Not a big deal as the fold/unfold toggle fixes the issue. I am also having an issue where the drivers seat does not return from the easy access position after I remote start the car. Hard to replicate at this time. Are you having any like issue with the seat? I feel like it is related.

The seat works fine. It's just the mirror. It's not too bad just anoying. Especially when I park it in the garage and don't lock it the mirror still adjusts itself out of focus and I have to move it with the joystick.

Hello!! So just wondering if this issue was resolved? I got a 2018 Giulia TI sport this weekend and I'm lucky enough to already have this issue 3 days later :)

Was there a fix other than the toggle? or do I have to go to the dealer?

Thanks!

Same problem for me too
Passenger's mirror takes some time to unfold and always goes to the same wrong position
Started 2-3 days after purchase and haven't yet gone to the dealer.
A "solution" is to press the memory button on the seat after the mirror is unfolded and while stationary.
Anyone found a true solution ?

Same problem here, since day 1.
Got the car for a week now.
Indeed workaround by using the memory button.
On my car the problem is on both sides, not only passenger's mirror.

Same here. Mirrors do not unfold upon putting car in drive (I assume they are supposed to stay-in during reverse?)

Here is the quote from the manual:

Automatic Activation
Activating the central door locking
system from outside the vehicle
automatically folds the mirrors. The
mirrors return to the driving position
when the vehicle is then unlocked.
If the door mirrors were folded using the
power mirror control knob, they can only
be returned to the driving position by
rotating the knob again.
Note: The power folding operation can be
enabled only when the vehicle speed is
lower than 31 mph (50 km/h). They can only
be manually controlled up to that speed.

Power Mirrors Closed Unexpectedly

Driving my 2017 Giulia when the power mirrors suddenly retracted for no reason. They closed and wouldn't respond to the control knob. Toggling does not release them. Pulled off to the side. Shut the car off. Re-started, mirrors still locked closed.

Anyone else experience this and, if so, is there a fix other than a trip to the dealer?

Yes, I am now out of town and both side mirrors are stuck in closed position and I’ve tried everything to get them to return to normal position.

Does anyone know what the fix for the mirror issue was please?
Mine is exactly the same and when I move the seat out of position and then use it to move back into position the mirror moves to the required position perfectly. I need to ensure the dealer attacks the right part and would prefer not to have them go at the door mirror if it is not needed.

I took delivery on my Giulia RWD 6 days ago and am having the same problem. When I start the car, the seat moves forward correctly and the driver's side mirror unfolds correctly, but there is a 20 second delay to the passenger side mirror, and just before it folds out, the mirror self-adjusts to an unusable position.
Strangely, when I fold the mirrors manually by moving the knob backwards, and then unfold them with the knob, it works perfectly.
I will try resetting the driver's seat position tonight and let you know if it works.
