UPDATE: 'Parking Light Out' warning + more issues. WTF?

I just drove thru heavy rain and all of sudden,
i got a message saying 'parking light out' warning on dash.
pulled over to check the car and noticed DRL on passenger side is out.
not to mention, turn-signal doesn't work & cornering light doesn't come on either.
strangely, headlight still comes on, but there is water/moisture inside headlight.

also, i don't know if it's related issue, but turn-signal inside passenger mirror housing is dim and flickering as well.

anyone else have had this problem with their Giulia before?
if so, what is the remedy? replacing headlight is for sure as there is moisture inside headlight, but i'm concerned because it's causing flickering to mirror housing as well.
also, if headlight & other things are need to be replaced, what are the time frame it will take?
service is closed and other dealers who have their service center open right now said, they don't know and I should contact the dealer where i bought the car as they won't warranty it. wtf?

Update:
it's been almost 6 hours since I posted. I went to check on it, now my reverse camera doesn't work as well as rear parking sensors. WTF???
Did my electronics on the car got fried? anyone else had this problem before?
The car is barely 2 weeks old and can't drive in heavy rain???

The issue clearly was caused by water damage likely due to bad water proofing and weather sealing. That should 100% be covered by warranty. Now sure if a headlight just burns out over time, that would be considered normal wear and tear and wouldn't be covered under warranty. But given that it definitely sounds that there was something faulty from the factory that allowed water to get into the light, that's warranty all the way.

The fact that mirror signal flickers and is dim tells me you have a water caused short.....it might dry out and start working again bot that is not likely.....sounds like warranty repair pronto.....

That's what I'm thinking too.
I wonder if replacing headlight alone will fix the issue or be more problem down the road.
I heard some people are having issue with replacing their windshield, if that's the case, how long for headlight and other parts that I need for my car?

The dealer that said they won't warranty & provide loaner car is 'Central Alfa' in Norwood, MA.
They have now officially been added to my black list of dealers to never deal with again.

Could be body module, could be subcomponents are shutting down because you have a short somewhere....best is to stay calm, get this to service pronto, it will be fixed.....it is masivelly upsetting but thats why you have warranty....now that you mention it there was somebody that had a light quit after driving in massive deluge

Knowing that the Stelvio had issues with water getting into electronics and shorting stuff out, it wouldn't surprise me if you're dealing with a similar issue. And all the Stelvio stuff was covered under warranty, even led to a recall. So I would be tough with the dealers and make sure none of this comes out of your pocket.

Few days ago i went through a big puddle of water, it was raining like mad and it was midle of the night, i didnt even see it, anyway, my passenger side light has moisture in it for 2 days now..

Today going home i got the message 'parking light out' so i checked all my lights, and they seem to work, hazards, drl, turn lights, headlights, brake lights, rear fog lights, all of them seem to work..

"The dealer that said they won't warranty & provide loaner car is 'Central Alfa' in Norwood, MA."

my local dealer, and for that reason I really wanted to buy there and see them do well.
the salesman I had been dealing with left, the sales manager apparently didn't want my business - it has been said that he is gone now too.

but I took my stelvio quad to their service department, with what I think is rain inflicted problems - and they don't seem to want my business either. aside from not being very friendly, they said they couldn't look at it for three weeks, which pretty much means "go someplace else".

What is up with that? A dealer doesn’t do warranty work. They should not be a dealership. That is insane. So dealerships that sell Alfa’s are not required to do warranty repairs. OMG. I thought I heard everything. I would report the dealership. They should not be in the Alfa business

Have them put it in writing. They'll most likely refuse to, since it would be written proof of them being in breach of their franchise agreement. @AlfaRomeoCares may want to forward this thread to the appropriate office within FCA for further investigation.

Hi xc1097 and Dorifto,
I'm sorry you both are experiencing difficulties with your warning lights. Please send me a private message with your VINs so we can look further into this.

So the exact same thing has just happened with my Giulia Ti. The Dealer (Alfa of Scottsdale) also wont give me a loaner and they are saying the issue is with some seals behind the headlamps which they further state was clearly caused by me! The front bumper/fascia had been removed on two occasions, once to repaint it when my son accidentally scratched the crap out of it (about 6 weeks after I got it) and once to mount a remote antenna behind the grille. In neither case were the headlamps touched. They are claiming about $3k to repair which has me absolutely livid.

Just had the same issue. Front passenger side running light and turn signal went out. Took it to the dealer and they have to be replaced.

It is possible that your dealer is right. You can check it yourself:

The front wheel wells are what is immediately behind the headlights. These have a trap door to make servicing the headlights easier. If the trap door is not properly installed, large volumes of high pressure water will be flung at the back of the headlights. I suspect that the back of the headlights are not as tightly sealed as the front since the back should not have energetic spray on it.

Anyway, make certain that said wheel wells and the trap door are in place and that no holes have been cut and not sealed in same. If the car is assembled correctly, your dealer is wrong and you should try a different dealer.

Did you do the work on your car or did you hire it done? If it was done wrong, the person that did it wrong should be responsible for fixing it. Also, I suspect that you can find perfectly good wrecking yard headlights for a lot less than $3k/pair.

My car is in the garage never in the rain six months old and the passenger side Drive and light blinker is out.. can you get a bulb the dealer is so far or do they have to put a whole housing light in

if DRL and turn signal isn't working most likely DRL/turn module at the bottom of headlight is faulty.

I too now have the brake light / parking light out warning. I am here in LA where it rarely rains so water is never an issue plus there’s no condensation or anything that I can see with the lights and they are all working perfectly except for the error of course... It actually came on a week after the last oil change... Has there been a definitive resolution to this? I read through as many posts as I could find on this issue and a few people mentioned there may be a bad wiring harness? Does anyone have any updates or thoughts?
