I saw the great thread on 0-60 times and in other forums we had cool drag time databases so I thought I'd make one thread where we can see acceleration data.

Here is a link to the database....

Submit your times. If they are at a track or via dragy, they'll be accepted. Lets get a good database going.

Format for Submission. Complete all parts of the entry you have. If you only got a 1/8 mile time, thats fine just only put that data. If only 40-100mph, thats cool too. Just only put that data.

Driver: Your user ID
Car: QV or 4 Cylinder
Drive: RWD/AWD
Fuel: 91, 93, E30, E85, 100, 104
Density Altitude: you find this on the dragy slip or if you were at a track you use dragtimes DA calculator
60ft:
1/8 Mile ET:
1/8 Mile Trap Speed:
1/4 Mile ET:
1/4 Mile Trap Speed:
40-100mph:
0-130mph:
60-130mph:

If modified include:
Turbo:
Tune:
Intake:
Downpipe:
Exhaust:

Cooling:

Last, thing is post a photo of your timeslip or dragy slip with your post.

Example:

Driver: bhvrdr
Car: 4 cylinder
Drive: RWD
Density Altitude: +940
60ft: 2.06
1/8 Mile ET: 8.68
1/8 Mile Trap Speed: 81.69
1/4 Mile ET: 13.49
1/4 Mile Trap Speed: 102.18
40-100mph:
0-130mph:
60-130mph: 19.48

@bhvrdr I got confused, so apart from that hybrid turbo the rest you have stock? Like cat, ic, intake, exhaust ??

So you have silent car which seems to be the fastest 2.0T so far, nice :)

I'm thinking whether exhaust/catless updates would give you much more power

Correct. Car has a turbo and jb4 on it. Exhaust / cat does very very little on this car. Ive been saying it for a year ;)

Stock exhaust and BOV is best best. Sound is only difference. Cue the “I gained 8 bhp with exhuast. Butt dyno tell me it pulls harder”

Great result. BMW M2 F87 times...

I would love to go this route, but not sure though if a GPF equipped model could handle this turbo.
Yep, exhaust is just for sound and spending money.....
Happy to add a squadra time to the board!!!

And plenty competitive with all the others. Nice work fast4lfa...

The second screenshot says "1ft rollout on". Dragy can only account for 1ft rollout in 0-60MPH (the bottom line in details), all other measurements are without the rollout.

In order to align the results to Dragy you have to add roughly 0.3 seconds (e.g. on my car I had Dragy report 0-60MPH at 4.70s without rollout and 4.43s with it).

On a separate note, flash tunes seem to be not sensitive to DA. Unlike piggybacks they have boost levels lower in lower DAs as long as load targets are met
My new personal bests, added JB4 on top of my mods, ECU remap included. Still on stock turbo.

Here's a result from the same highway/evening which shows weather info (same as for above results):

Well done! My apologies for just getting to this. I had clicked on your post when I didnt have my computer.

Looks like the jb4 stacking was able to get another psi or so out of the turbo huh? Perhaps bypassing some limits the tuners are having difficulty with. Thats interesting stuff. Be cool to see your logs.

Thanks!

The logs are in the archive: 60-100 and 60 - 130 logs.zip

11.csv is 40-100 and 15.csv is 60-130 run. Though I suspect there're issues with boost levels reported by JB4 (I've made a post about that at n54/Giulia thread).

My tune has upped ignition and modified wastegate control maps (PWM I guess), combined with lower MAP reading from JB4 readings it is now possible for me to run more ignition under higher boost levels. Besides I think that with JB4 I can now get more benefits from the hardware mods I have (downpipe, K&N) - they allow me to actually squeeze more boost and see knock latter. I think the moment model of the engine seems to be the reason why Giulia is so unresponsive to hardware mods, i.e. intakes, downpipes. ECU simply lowers boost or any other operating parameters which are affected by the mods when it reads that load targets are met. My ECU flash turbo limits may also help and run longer without underboost error (though not sure, had plenty of those errors while playing with MAP6).

My thoughts on the engine moment model. Most ECU tuners work on upping turbo limits and do not touch the moment/load targets. They work with very limited changes to the original maps and do just a very generic stuff (changing 1d turbo limits map, some do ignition maps). Giulias seems to have some reserves in their moment model though they are capped by turbo limits. By removing the limiters higher yet standard load targets become achievable. In colder weather those load targets are easily hit and no matter the turbo limits ECU slows down the turbocharger as soon as load targets within the moment models are seen. Say on a +26C day my turbo could provide 2.7bar absolute pressure at 5500RPM and at +8 it gives around 2.5bar at 5500RPM. JB4 apparently tricks the load values read by ECU and makes it possible to pump more air in colder weather.

On a separate note it doesn't seems there's actually any TRUE Alfa tuner, i.e. a brand that knows and understands Marrelli/Alfa electronics and is capable of making an overhaul of ECU maps touching not just a couple but hundreds and thousands of maps essentially revamping the moment model. E.g. some of other tuners, e.g. working with VAG can even have different axis in their maps, i.e. in all maps have RPM scale ending not at 6500 but 7000.

Great air yesterday and today. Played a little. 2021 Stelvio still stock. I uploaded my stock tune to EC Friday but it’s a version they havnt seen yet so I have to wait...
My 2018 was faster stock, not sure how that will translate into tuned.
Yesterday was faster despite better air today
These are my best out of about a dozen runs each morning.

Downhill with great DA. You most likely won’t go any faster. Are you getting wheel spin? 60’ seems a little behind for AWD.
Are you brake boosting? Hold brake to about 3000rpm then let her rip.

No wheel spin, there is a slight lag when releasing the brake I don’t remember on the 2018. But I played way more tuned than not...
