I’ve had my 2018 Ti Sport AWD for a week now and I am loving it. A joy to drive every time.

But I have 2 little rattles I’m trying to figure out. The first is in the window switch panel. I’ll fix that one once I can get the panel out (I’m nervous about breaking it so the dealer may be doing that one.) The other noise is a creaking sound coming from the back deck (behind the rear seats). I can make the noise happen by pushing down on that area. Anyone have the same noise, and if so, have you found what’s causing it?

I haven’t any issues with the window switch panel, but I did have a creak from the rear seat/parcel shelf area. I tracked it down to rear seat that wasn’t fully latched down. For extra-measure, I gave the seat bumpers and locking mechanism a tiny squirt of WD-40 and it has not come back. Hopefully that will be all yours needs.

I have had one or two annoying rattles that turned out to be things that were being carried in the door pockets. A quick removal of these items solved the problem. I intend to purchase some thick felt and trim it to the size of the bottom of these pockets to prevent the rattles’ returns in the future.

Hello jsygetagrip15,

If you end up getting this rattle inspected by the dealer, let me know. I am available via direct message and would be happy to help with that process.

I have had an annoying rattle since the first week I owned my Giulia. It is coming from the rear passenger seat area best I can tell. I had it to the dealer, who said it was from the headliner. They pinned it back, fixed it, ect. I got the car back and about 2 days later the rattle came back. Really annoying to have a brand new car rattle like this.

So last week I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had my son sit in the back seat and try to locate the rattle. We immediately discovered it is coming from the silky liner/sun shade on the back seat sunroof. My son simply put his hand on the screen and the rattle stopped.

Not sure why the dealer could not do this, but whatever. It is going back in next week to fix it - again. Hopefully for good this time.

I heard little rattles as well sounds like coming from the steering column, I could be wrong It only comes out when the road it not as smooth as it should be. Not worried though one thing I learned from rattle and hums is that it almost never goes away. So my fix for this is just crank up the sound system til I can't hear myself think.

Good morning Chicago Joe and glennp_2010,
We understand how a noise concern such as this could become frustrating. We would like to offer our assistance if/when you choose to work with your dealers on this. If this is something that interests you, please send our team a private message with additional details.

Any idea how common rattling issues are on Giulias? With Covid, I've been limiting my Giulia shopping only to online dealerships that can deliver the car to me, so I'd be buying the car sight unseen. Just trying to figure out what the odds are that the car delivered is a rattler! I'm looking at 2018 models only.

I too have , not a rattle, but a noise, from the rear deck area. It occurs when the car is flexing when moving over uneven ground. I have lubricated and checked seats. I also have an annoying noise from the rear left door or lower B pillar (passenger side in my RHD). Strangely the car is silent over rough roads where you would expect rattles, but makes these creaks, light clunks and tapping sounds over unevenness such as driveways and speed bumps. The Giulia is supposed to have a rigid chassis but I am sure I can feel some flexing and even some movement around the doors and seals. As usually occurs with minor noises the dealer can rarely hear them when you take them in.
