LED HEADLAMPS- GIULIA/STELVIO

Not available to order yet. In due time we will have more info.

Email: [email protected]

-Time will tell but the wire harnesses are the same. Might need some rewiring to get most functions to work. No idea yet!

- Pricing not set yet and hope to have a solid price in the new weeks.

- ETA on headlamps is not set yet but we expect them in the next 2-3 months but due to headlamp shortages already, let's shoot for 6-8 months

- Once lamps are available, payment will be required in full. If you do not, you loose your spot in line for these lamps.

Thank you

How are things looking so far? It has been a while since this thread was last updated.

Thanks
A European company has said that there is a difference in the voltage they operate under, therefore needing a resistor added, in order for the turn signals to function. They have not been able to get the turn signals to operate progressively yet either. Unfortunately, not a direct drop in, which was a concern from the beginning.
Cost is looking to be about 3300 Euros.

I am aware. Not planning on offering them. I don't like these kinds of "upgrades". If people want them I can order them but they are on their own after that. They are not available right now anyway and no plans to bring them in to offer up. If had a feeling the lamps would not work as a plug and play. Not these days. Old days we could do it and did. Moving on.

Disappointing, as I was ready to upgrade to these. You would have thought that Alfa would have maybe anticipated some wanting to upgrade previous MYs, and made them at least somewhat plug and play, with the essentials working; low/high beam, DRLs, and turn signals. I guess they are just smarter than us consumers. I'll follow what Jad comes up with.

Why would Alfa want to do that? That would be opposite of planned obsolescence. Could they have done it? Sure but then again if there's even a slight chance older MY owner want to upgrade because of the digital dash and LED headlights they will ensure you go that route. Just take a page book out of Samsung and Apple.

It works under a different system. This is why it will not work well with older cars. Disappointing but also these are FL cars and we are in a time where all these systems run off software. New cars, new software, new components etc...

I am not really interested at this point in offering headlamps that only work partially or require resistors etc... Seems counterproductive to add old technology to new technology and are these retros going to last long with such modifications? Who knows. I am not interested in offering a possible headache, unless I find a solid solution. Until then if you want them I can supply them but I take no responsibility for them nor will offer any tech help for them. As is.
