Has anybody installed laser jammers (either front, or front and rear) and if so, where were they installed?

ALP is the most popular route, curious if anybody has those

Had Stinger VIP on my Lambo. Work well and much smaller. AL is a very good one however and always in the top 1 or 2.

Of course here in Texas they are merely 'parking sensors' since LJ's are illegal in TX.

I had someone light up my Valentine 1 from behind Christmas Eve on the way to San Diego two days ago. I'm assuming it was an ALP....

Good question. I was driving a BMW at the time. Haven't tried it with the Alfa. (Not even familiar with that windshield.)

Just remembered a YouTube video where someone had both ALP and V1 and it caused the V1 to false.

My V1 was signalling laser for a long time with some Nissan behind me.....

The Infrared windshield on Giulia comes bundled with the Driver Assistance Dynamic Package. It is not obvious why. The point of the windshield is to reduce heat from sunlight. Maybe the sensors behind the windshield like the lane departure camera will "cook" otherwise?

I am hoping to get or modify a dash cam and radar detector to fit in or on the pod behind the rear view mirror rather than obscuring the windshield.

Thanks for explaining!

I do believe we have that. I really wanted the active cruise control option...

Infrared filter most likely affects LIDAR detection performance, good to know if I'm driving the Giulia!

Can you use the Valentine 1 in the Quad with the infrared windshield?
Not recommended. I got an Escort 360 hardwired in my Giulia and boy the number of false alarms it throws out I'm getting ready to take it out. No point in having a radar detector if it is continuously throwing out false alarms. On my daily 20-minute commnute to work, i encounter at least I'd say 4-5 false alarms on average.

ALP is the only laser jammer worth buying due to their effectiveness and the company's constant updating of the firmware. I would recommend a remote radar unit if you have a Quad since the carbon fiber will interfere with radio signals.

I have a base model and the V1, everything works well. I get almost no falses. GM products, and Volvo give me some laser falses due to adaptive cruise control and BSM, but the V1 filters it out usually.

I mainly made this post because I don't really know where they would physically go on the front of the car because of the grille design

The factory front plate holder mounts to the driver side tow hook, so very good question....
Is there a towhook there? I mounted my license plate on the towhook mount on the passenger side because everybody else does, lol

The oem holder screws into the drivers side hole, but then requires drilling into the bumper anyway. A truly stupid solution. Most of us use the tow hook

I don’t know why when I post in a thread they just start going off topic. ATX is correct. Rho plate is a Canadian company that makes license plate relocation brackets specifically for tow hooks. It has a pretty good design from my experience. Had them custom make one for a ‘12 S212 Mercedes E63 (wagon). Can go through the mechanical (brush) car washes with them on.... (Didn’t cost anything extra to make that too, just take a few pictures, one with a ruler next to the tow hook.). Helpful if you have front parking sensors the plate can be mounted in multiple positions with respect to the tow hook screw....

With respect to the Stinger, out of my price range, in particular for a lease....

I'm sorry. Rho is what Alfa9 uses and I just installed mine today. Very very good! Sorry about off topic as well

In regards to Stinger I thing they are good, but everybody says ALP is the best. I'd go with the best. But I too am leasing and can't be bothered. I think I can spend my money better. Only state troopers here in NH use laser, and they usually have their KA always on while using the laser gun lol ... not exactly hiding from the V1. Was just curious
