I have a 2020 Giulia Sport and my mother has a 2020 Stelvio Sport.
The other day we went to leave work and both our key fobs stopped working. Finally when we opened the doors the car said “Key fob not detected”.
We had to start our cars using the center console. My Giulia has been fine, but this as happened before. Her Stelvio has had it a few more times. The dealership has no clue. We have even used our other fobs with no luck.
Anyone else have this or any ideas?
Thanks so much

You’ve replaced all fob batteries to eliminate that as the potential problem?

I didn’t. Both cars are under a year old. Both cars have the extra key fob in a drawer. The chance of all 4 batteries going at the exact same time is impossible. They were also working all day

Your vehicle battery is likely low.
This happened to me and needed to jump start the car. The key fob not detected was a red herring .

After the jump and battery recharged my fob worked fine. Battery tester on fob showed full charges also.

Thank you! Actually about 6 months ago my car totally died! The battery drained over night and needed to be jumped. I will bounce it off the dealership.

That's what I had to do also. No issue since.
But the first indicator for me was key fob not detected. Until it didn't even do that by the time I went to retrieve the second key.

Yeah, that happened to me too, both key fobs mysteriously went dead at the same time. I think I changed them out, but low main battery was likely the issue. I keep a better eye on charge now so hasn't happened since.

Hi Bfoltyn,
If the battery isn't the cause of your concerns, feel free to send us a private message. We'd be happy to connect you with a specialist who will work alongside the dealer to find a solution.

It is possible that it could be interference with the signal also. My garage door opener button got stuck (I never synced my door w/ the homelink). It would not recognize my Giulia key until I removed the battery from the door opener. Once I got the battery out of the opener it detected the key right away.

That's probably right. I think I experienced similar when I had a different car's fob in the same pocket.
