I think I have an issue with my brakes, here is the situation and I can repeat it almost all of the time.

When coming to a stop at a slight incline, but not steep enough for the car not to roll forward. I'm holding the brakes for at least 5 seconds before the light turns green or it's my turn to go. I release the brakes and my car doesn't roll forward. When I press on the gas, I hear a noise from the front. it's almost as if the front brake calipers are locked and I'm releasing it by gassing forward. This is odd because if I come to a stop and immediately release my brakes to roll forward, it will creep forward.

Is this normal? Does anybody else have this issue?

Are you sure you're not experiencing Hill Start Assist?
