Is Your Q.V. a Daily Driver

Hi All,

I am curious. Are you guys driving your Quadrifoglio every day as your primary driver? I have acquired a Q.V. and also have a 4 year old Audi S5 (which is really fun too). Debating if I keep the Audi around as a DD or have you gone all in on your Q.V.?

I daily mine to work.
Can't wait to hear the first BRAAAP in the morning..
So true lol
...every day, at least twice/day, sometimes more , I catch myself thinking and wondering: where could I drive it to? ...that upshift under load/acceleration is intoxicating! I just want to slow down, just to do it one more time lol
A year later my GQuad has been driven every single day, sometimes just short hops to the office or on most days driven at least 50 or 60 miles all over S. Cal. This car is simply superb. Alfa have engineered a modern marvel with the Giorgio platform and 2.9 later engine. The driving dynamics are flexible depending on your conditions, and driving in heavy city traffic in LA is effortless. Once you get some open, twisty road D mode is amazingly responsive and perfectly balanced. I find I hardly ever ever use N mode. It's like a middle child. A is ideal for freeway cruising in traffic and for stop-start surface streets (The auto Stop Start feature is the first thing I switch off as I start up the car every morning). D is perfect for weekend drives along the coast and into the canyons around Malibu. We bought an Alfa dog hammock from Mopar Parts for the rear seat so my best friend can come along for the fun drives to the beach. And the car has increased in value. We were at the Santa Monica dealer picking up our new 2022 Stelvio to replace the 2018 and the sales manager rushed out to offer me whatever I had paid for the car new, a year ago. With the EV era fast approaching I believe special and limited quantity cars like the GQuad will become sought after so I'm keeping this one indefinitely.

I have a perfectly good device for deactivating the Start-Stop feature. It's called an "Index Finger" and it came with my initial DNA package. Works flawlessly every time and it's free :ROFLMAO:

Are you talking about the car?

I got it and it's the best investment I've made on this car! At least I don't have to worry about wearing out the start/stop button now.

A foot of snow in NYC and yet with Michelin alpin pa4's I drove right into Manhattan and parked the car on the snow filled curbs. I'll need to do the same tomorrow night, then I'll wash all the snow and salt off her.

What a great dd she is
Same. I’ve had to fit all three car seats in mine a handful of times 😆
What about rear facing?
Daily driver and little people mover.

I'll be daily driving the one I am picking up this weekend, and it will have a kid seat. Wish me luck! Getting a used 2019 in very nice condition.

Two of mine are in front facing and the third is in rear facing. It was tight, but they all fit.

I dailyed my 18’ Quad for almost 2 years then decided to sell before warranty expired felt like it was too much of a financial liability to keep past warranty and didn’t want to buy extended. It was time to move on I had my fun with the car. Absolute awesome machine with power AND beautiful handling characteristics.
Yes, bought it as a DD, Traffic Assist working pretty good so far.

Yes, that is why I bought it. Was looking for one of the most exciting/interesting four door cars and couldn't find anything that tops it. I think the quad is a keeper, not saying my 2022 quad is specifically but very likely I stay with quads as DD's for quite some time. I wish the 2022's came in the Monte Carlo blue and different color interior like the tan in my 2019 ti-sport. The carbon exposed roof would have been nice and I am always a fan of CCB breaks for daily use. So if the 2023-24+ come in a dark blue exterior again and better/more colorful interiors, black is my least favorite, I would switch to another quad.

The ONLY car I was truly cross shopping the quad with was a Panamera GTS which are fantastic cars as well but I needed to branch out from the Porsche cult! To me the quad and the GTS are the most interesting and exiting four door sedans out there.

Isn't the panamera considered a hatch?

No one really knows! ;) but yes, probably more of hatch back. Regardless, I just needed four doors and 4-5 seats(preferably five). The GTS with that beautiful V8 sounds great, performance numbers are similar, atleast when it got turbo charged in 2017, though I preferred the NA for the 2016 and older.

It is over 1000lbs heavier though but does drive like a much smaller car.

Yes, daily driver and amazed at the number of debris hits and near misses in the past 1.5 years. It's a magnet for anything on the road, furniture pieces, loose wheels, metal brackets etc. (only smacked by the bracket) Just installed the 3rd windshield last week and took another rock hit less than 24 hours, but no damage this time.
I wouldn't trade it for Camry any day of the week...
Mine is, but I only drive about 1x every week, never in snow.
