Went in for 1st service at 9600 miles and qualified for the -55 update. Car came back with no gps/ maps and down to 5 presets. Tried a second upload and still no maps. The dealer now has to go thru alfa to see what next step is. They said possibly a new module to speak to the infotainment system . Hope that works .

Shame on Alfa and Magneti Marelli for making the Infotainment updates so difficult for wrench monkeys with 1 week of manufacturer provided training to accomplish without mistake. Shame on your dealer for returning a car to you when the job clearly wasn't done right. Trying to pass an obvious service mistake back onto the customer is poor form. I wouldn't trust that dealer to do an oil change or a tire rotation, let alone warranty work.

Well said. This is what may eventually ruin Alfa. FCA poorly training mechanics. Mechanic trying their best, but failing. Then the dealership trying to pass off the failure as either "they all do that" or some other such nonsense.

Update worked on second try with alfa star help. Maps update looks good as does the info upgrades. Only issue is my radio presets went from 6 to 5 instead of to 7. I’ll live with it as I use the favorites feature more.
