it's a 2017 QV Rosso Competizione with Package 24P, Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel, Dark 5 Hole Wheels, Drivers Assist, Premium Audio, and Red Calipers. Drives like a dream and so smooth.

Did an odd thing yesterday, hit start and it stalled and then displayed about 5 or more codes (Esc, auto high beam, steering, throttle, maybe seats, etc.) after an hour or two restarted and it's all gone now excepct the auto start/stop. It should have most updates (has latest audio update).

One of the guys said there was a battery module that might be on backorder nationally that it's needs, anyone hear of this?

Pretty sure it's a early model '16 build.

Great site, already spent many hours reading.

I was not looking until I blew up my Mazdaspeed 3. Was going to just get a regular Alfa but found this QV at a dealer in Texas, was able to get into it at a reasonable level. So glad I did, the feel of this car is just special. Owned Miata, M3, 540i in the past as well. Was suspect on the automatic, but honestly this 8 speed's ratios are tuned just right.

Love the look and as you all are aware, I'm getting lot's of looks, comments, and questions on what this is.

You're kidding! I've owned a Miata, still do, and grew up on Mazdas. Was thinking of a Mazdaspeed 6 but they stopped making them. Got into car collecting and the Italian scene (family too - F1 fan) and the Giulia showed up at just the right time. After building my Miata to track ready spec, I knew I wanted the same but in a larger car. The Giulia is perfect, even in the smaller engine versions. Now I am saving up for a winter wheel and tire set for next year.

sounds like your car is in need of a HOST of RRTs & TSBs....as far as build date, look on the door jamb, driver's side you will find it there..
You will enjoy the car for certain!
Welcome to the club

Congrats and welcome!

Those GQs sound great; my biz partner has a '17 GQ in Alfa Rosso with 5-hole brights...and yes, I'm coining a new shorthand for the Giulia Quadrifoglio, GQ, because with the Stelvio Quadrifoglio on the horizon, QV, for Quadrifoglio Verde, isn't descriptive enough.

I am curious if you are experiencing the same issue as I have. The car throws mostly a CEL when cold, but once it warms up, the number errors goes away, until in the afternoon, then there are no issues at all.

Alfa Care has said that it could be the battery that throws things off when cold. On the other hand, my lazy-ass dealership could not find the issue, and I still drive it with those issues (other thread). Hopefully they know what it is.

@Alwaysdutch I have not had this car long enough to be sure. But temp does not see to be a factor. Car had been sitting for a few hours prior. Taking it in next week so I'll have more data after Tuesday and let you know what they say.

What kind of temperatures are we talking about?

It is not the first issue I had with the car, so Alfa Care is requesting another vehicle. We will see.

@Alwaysdutch Just an update car is back from service. Something electrical/computer system in transmission was bad that required a new valve body and a battery sensor was also bad. So far everything is working well including auto start/stop. Now I just have to remember to hit the button.

Holy crap, ok. The car goes back to the dealer in about two weeks, where an actual Alfa engineer will be brought in to look at the problem.

Good Luck Alwaysdutch....It's a shame, but I am also aware of a NY Club member that has had an awful experience with his car....it is clearly a Lemon and yet, he still wants a new one....I'm really impressed with his perseverance but the Quad is a special car....Hopefully your story will have a happy ending....D

I like the GQ acronym, nobody really uses the term "Verde" anymore. GQ would differentiate it from the Stelvio Q .......

Thanks. They simply need to fix it or give me another one. I have no need to get another Make.
