I bought a new Quadrifoglio in June 2017; everything is great but I soon started noticing, at speeds starting from 55-60 mph and upwards, a degree of wind noise from both the driver and the front passenger window. The faster one goes, the worst it gets. I was recently driving the car on the Continent, on motorways, and it was becoming quite intrusive at speed like 105-115 mph. I once tried a quick burst at 145 mph and the noise in the cabin was deafening. Reported to supplying dealer (who has agreed there is a noise from 60 mph upwards) and to Alfa Romeo Customer Service but so far no solution in sight. I get the impression it is an issue which is perhaps being "swept under the carpet" by everybody. I am thinking of requesting that both front doors window seals be completely replaced under warranty. Anybody has any suggestions? similar experience and how did they manage with the supplying dealer?:frown2:

I have a base Q4 but I noticed the same wind issue specifically on the drivers side window. I took my car into the dealer in part for this issue about a month ago and explained the problem. Someone else had a similar issue on here and mentioned they checked the window seal on the drivers side and it wasn't sitting in the track properly. I mentioned this to the dealer and when I got the car back they said that was exactly the issue; they say they placed it back in and the problem was all fixed. However I started to notice this issue again a couple weeks later. It's not problematic enough for me to go back to my dealer yet (about an hour away) but I would like to find a solution to this.

I have some wind noise but nothing I would consider extreme and definitely not deafening up to speeds of 135 or so.

Haven't considered dealing with it since I don't think its a problem but it could be somewhat better.

I have not experienced the wind noise that is being mentioned here....and while we (North America) cannot hit speeds on our highways like you in Europe seem to be able to do...I have not felt them at highway speeds (55 to 80)...perhaps it is one of those "unique" Alfa quirks that some get and other's don't????
let us know if it is remedied and how please.
Regards
M

I think the car is to spec. I would appreciate a quieter car but I think that Giulia's wind dB levels are to spec. Can they improve it? Perhaps (on future versions) but that would require additional (heavier) sound insulation procedures to be in place. I came from a Buick Lacrosse which goes through their proprietary "QuietTuning" process and man what a difference. There is basically zero wind noise and you cannot hear any outside noise. But the Giulia is a performance sedan, so there has to be some sacrifices.

Thanks Nik, what you have experienced seems similar to my situation. I am going to try another dealer tomorrow to see what they say.

Thanks AlfaRomeoCares! I am live in the UK, west of London. I have contacted this morning another Main Dealer and I am taking the car there tomorrow morning to see what they think re the wind noise.
I will provide an update after that.:|
