Ive read some complaints about smell but those are about a chemical smell. What I am dealing with almost seems like food is rotting in the car. First, I have not allowed any food in the car. Second, I search since I dont entirely trust my kids not to sneak something in. Finally, I also checked the carpets in the footwells to make sure something wasnt leaking and causing things to get wet and smell. All came back negative. Has anyone dealt with a rotting smell? It smacks you when you first get into the car.

Could be a dead rat or other small rodent in the engine bay. Sometimes they like to hide there for warmth and safety.

How long was your car on the lot? Have you pulled the cabin air filter?
No idea and no. Just seems like its coming from inside the cabin. You smell it immediately when you get in and before starting it up.

My car stunk on Monday. The smell was gone (permanently?) on Tuesday. Fingers crossed for you (and for myself).
