I have the Forward Collision Warning System turned on and set to medium sensitivity. Generally, I haven't really noticed it much except for a few warnings on the freeway and it seems to work well and inobtrusively. Except, that is, for one speed bump at the parking structure where I work. When I am about a foot from the speed bump a warning chime goes off and the brakes are slammed hard. It is very annoying. I doesn't happen with any other speed bumps.

I would turn the system off, but then I have a constant distracting warning light going off on my instrument panel.

Anyone know if there is a way to modulate the brakes or speed so that the system is not trigger on speed bumps?

Well the manual says the FCW system is not operational at speeds below 4 mph. I guess I just have to go really really slow.
