I just had service on my Ti Sport (10k service) and on the drive back from dealership the miles are “flashing”. Called the dealer and they weren’t sure why. Any one know of what might be happening and how to stop the flashing?

That happened to me last week, after collision repair at the dealer shop. The car had to go back to the body shop for better paintwork on the repair area, and they were having service look at the flashing odo issue, but I’ve not gotten the car back yet so don’t know anything beyond that.

Normally flashing odometer on Alfa indicates a CAN bus error; ie problem with one or more of the devices communicating on the CAN bus.
can happen if f.i. one of the devices communicating on the bus (CAN node) is replaced, and the bodycomputer sees a different serial/id number then original.
Usually solved with a "proxy alignment", whereby the bodycomputer rescans the bus for all devices that should be there, and updating them in the list

Yeah, @jwq2 seems to have good advice. Take it to the dealer, and print out his advice. The dealer may have no clue how to fix it, and this could save you time if they try it.

So BEWARE !!!! This exact same scenario happened to me after the 10 K service....car drove fine but the odometer was flashing....I immediately called the service manager and he inquired if the car was driving normally which it was (PS ...I have a Quad if that matters) and he stated that one of the modules was probably not "communicating" ....So all was good for about 10 days until I was driving routinely and suffered a complete shutdown of the car. Saw more dummy lights than a Las Vegas Casino Billboard and the car stumbled and then just shut down. My suspicion is that somehow the ECU got corrupted when the attempt to reset the "service reminder schedule" was performed and it led to a potentially dangerous situation. When these cars shutdown, there is no putting them in "Neutral"....They must be "Dolly" Towed ... Do not be dismissive of this...that's my advice....D
