Alfa Romeo were out in Central London at the Saville Row display of luxury stuff. Not really my thing but they had a Giulia QV 100th Anniversrio so I went to have a look. First impressions is the green and gold is magic. I like the gold stitching a lot. The matt carbon fiber is nice too.

The sales guy told me 15 coming to the UK, mix of Red and Green, Black available in Europe only. I asked why no carbon roof and he denied all knowledge. I suspect he had just been drafted in for the day... A few other nice cars there, but you guys will want to see the Alfa.

$10,000 USD package with no carbon fiber roof -- that couldn't be confirmed when I ordered, I guess that it's gone. Any photos of the gold calipers? Love the gold stitching as well.

Hmm...for that much and supposedly special version and it doesn't come with a CF roof like my lowly 21 QV does, I am liking my 21 even more now. A little jealous of the new headlights and new digital dash but knowing this doesn't come with CF roof and jury is still out if mechanical LSD is actually an improvement over TV, I think I am slightly less jealous now...
It all seems a little silly. I mean, I like it, but no carbon roof or carbon seats? Those are some of the most special things about this car. I'm sure the interior pops a little more with that stitching but it seems like Alfa is leaving a lot on the table here. Add 20 horsepower, add every carbon option and then it might be pretty epic.

This is a 100th Anniversary collectors edition car. This is not meant for a track-day buyer. So, CF roof and Sparcos don't really fit the crowd. This is another garage queen, not really for HPDE.

I think you are totally right. I suspect from the occasional conversations I have had that 'carbon' in general has been an issue affecting production delays, and so the approach has been to ramp-down use of optional carbon components. If I was purchasing a 100th Anniversary edition it would really annoy me, but the reality is the lack of a carbon roof probably has no effect on the enjoyment of driving the car. I don't think this special edition is anywhere near as special as an N-Ring but it is still a desirable car. Given the 100 car limit I'm just a bit surprised they haven't numbered the cars like they did with N-Ring and GTA. That would have encouraged the perception of collectability...

I don't really see any of those things being super important to someone tracking the car. I've tracked the regular seats before and they're perfectly suitable for track duty. The carbon roof is more novelty than anything. No one is going to notice a 20 lb weight saving on the roof in a 3800 lb car.

Sparcos and carbon roof are part of the lifestyle projection. Most sports cars are not tracked, but they come with accessories that ooze track day. The GTAm is a great example. Most will probably never be pushed, but the roll cage and wing are part of the mystique. @REDGTA is the exception.

The 100th Anniversario is for Milano, not Monza.

looks like it doesn’t have the akrapovic exhaust they mentioned it would have
Has the arch been scuffed/scraped along with an amateur job of repairing it.... or was it your camera 📷 🤔 .

Wouldn't say no to it either way...

It was my camera, or in this case my phone...

However, the tires on the car were VERY well worked out... Clearly they had brought the car in from Italy, but it had been driven hard by someone.

Really?. Carbon roof and carbon seats one of the most special things on a QV? I certainly feel a big difference in the driving of the QV with carbon roof and without carbon roof. Big difference. It's like day and night. It's so different than people need to use a magnet to see it. This is a Special Edition car. Only 100 Giulias will be produced this way. And please remember that it is boosted to 520hp.

I think that was sarcasm, but not positive lol. Visually, the carbon roof is very special. I'm talking exposed. I said a couple posts down that the performance difference is meaningless. Also, US anniversary edition cars get no power increase.

The carbon fiber roof is more of a performance gain than you think. You're only focused on the weight savings. Removing weight from the highest part of the car lowers its center of gravity. That is very desirable to those who track their cars.

I went to my Alfa dealer and he told me I needed to lost 30 lbs... not a true story but you get my point...

But, I love the exposed carbon roof on my car. It looks amazing.... It is a shame it is not included. I still think its a cool car, and if I was in the market for a QV I think I'd put my deposit down.

There were a few other cars that caught my eye when I went to look at the Alfa over lunch...

I think I know why there is a world shortage of carbon fiber; Aston Martin bought the lot for the Valkyrie AMR Pro. Look at the aero on the thing...

I’m trying to order one in the same specs as my 2023 QV Montreal Verde but getting no response from the factory.
I reached out to a local dealer who told me they were told that the US is going to get 25 allocations. They suggested I put down a refundable deposit and preorder it, but then said they couldn’t actually guarantee that it’d be the 100th anniversary edition. I tried to get more information about the new differential as well, but they didn’t seem to know anything.
Totally missed the lack of Akra exhaust too like in the promotional photos. So, for $10K, gold stitching, special badge, gold calipers, 15HP.

@Giuliano, I get your point — not saying lack of being a special car; but trading in my current Quad for it will likely not happen for me.
