Alfa Romeo Cares is an OXYMORON.... I went to my dealership until the WARRANTY expired, but they really do not know what they are doing
They sold me my car with a dead battery... did not even perform a proper PDI and they would have seen i had a dead cell...poor knowledge of the car and lack of parts makes the experience really weak... if you want to hear honesty there you go....and then calling Alfa Cares.. thats the joke of the day....
really nothing more to say
my vehicle is running better out of warranty with a professional mechanic than when it was under the "CARE" of Alfa Romeo... the dealerships simply do not represent the brand, never have never will because the people at the Dealership and ALFA ROMEO CARES are not ALFISTAs
sorry but you asked for honesty
Hi there!

Knowing that there is only one dealer in your state is understandably stressful. We would love to offer our support alongside that dealer, should you need to visit them for repairs. Please know that we are available via private message if you need assistance.

I ended up calling Alfa Romeo USA for assistance. The lady I talked to said this is not their first time hearing of this dealer. She also told me that some one will contact me from the dealer within a few hours and she will touch basis with me on Thursday to make sure they did. I haven’t heard a peep from the dealer yet. I understand Alfa Romeo is trying to help me but I purchased a 24 month extended warranty and I’ve been waiting OVER 6 months for the service department to answer my attempts to contact them. That’s literally 1/4th my entire warranty I paid extra for gone. That doesn’t include the month it sat at the dealer the one and only time they did take it in while waiting for parts.

Ouch, that must be so frustrating! Sorry to hear it.

I voted 0-20 miles, but with traffic that could easily be an hour.

I'll also say that I've noticed a significant improvement in quality since the Alfa dealer moved from a Fiat lot to a Maserati

Mine is about 35 miles. But if they ever close then my next closest option is 90 miles.
I think what would be great is some clarity from Alfa on how to properly document self-maintenance on the car. I like changing oil at least every 5,000 miles and driving two hours round trip for a simple oil change is kind of a drag.

Receipts of all parts purchased and video of yourself changing it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, for me, it’s not about the distance from the dealership (There are four dealers in my area.) My dealer (in Naperville, IL) has had a ownership change and the customer service interface has gone south. Calling the service department number results in the call routed to sales and when the salesperson reroutes the call to service no one picks up. Going on line you can only chat with someone not at the dealership so other than generic answers you cannot talk to anyone who knows the service history of your car or provide answers that the Service Writer would or should know. I have always taken my Alfa and FIAT to the dealership feeling that the higher cost was worth it because of the training and knowledge of the FCA/Stillantis personnel, but for the first time will be taking my cars to a private shop where I can communicate directly with the people I’m dealing with. Our premium cars require premium service and customer care imho.

Living in So. Ca., I had originally assumed i could bring my car to the Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa dlrship in Costa Mesa. I called to make an appt for an oil change. I received a recording telling me the Alfa store permanently closed. There was no list of alternative dlrship. I contacted the Alfa, Maserati dlrship in Anaheim Hills. I have a terrific service advisor who's good at staying in touch regarding the status of repairs. I was shocked he called me when on vacation in Thailand to make sure he kept me informed. Good guy, honest service techs. The only time I became nervous was when I had the car in for a warranty item with the engine. It was a "no biggie" to me until the advisor apologized for the delay as it was assigned to a new tech they hired from Tesla. I couldn't help but ask if he knows we have engines? We both laughed. I would recommend them

We moved to Oklahoma City where there are no dealers from San Francisco during 2021 with our 2018 Giulia 🍀. We have owned four Alfa’s over 30 years and dreamed of a car such as the Giulia coming to the U.S. one day. I very reluctantly sold the car a few months after the warranty expired. It’s a 3 hour drive to Dallas where there were three dealers, and I traveled there one time for a service. We had very good luck with our car. I wish to buy a new Giulia and look at the website all the time but worry there is no nearby dealership.

In Northeast metro Detroit area. Nearest dealer is Genesis AR. I bought my '18 Giulia quad from a dealer about 2 hrs away because they had the exact config I wanted at a prior model year price I couldn't beat. When I needed service I went to Genesis and they were great. Service pricing is fair (for a dealer) - Quad oil change was in the $280 range, not too bad given the filter is $80 and the oil is $16/quart. I have only had one failure - a bad sway bar endlink, addressed quickly.

Loving the brand and having a good dealer nearby, we bought my wife a Stelvio ti Lusso (Misano blue over Crema interior - gorgeous combo) from there, and sales experience was great, as the service has been as well. Oil changes on the Stelvio are reasonable ~$140. Car is in shop now for serpentine belt ($220). The service staff (Tammy & Lindsey) are both great - car enthusiasts and great brand ambassadors. The dealership's biggest problem appears to be getting vehicles to put on their lot. Right now it looks like they have about 50 new cars on the lot - and only 2 quads, both Stelvios.

We have two dealers in the Phoenix metropolitan area, one in Tempe and the other in Scottsdale. Most would think the Scottsdale dealership would be better as Scottsdale is known to be a higher class more expensive area but we tried scheduling an appointment for weeks and not only couldn’t get through for to the service adviser but he also didn’t return any of the several voicemails we left. We called the front desk and were told he was on vacation and we’d have to call back at another time. So I drove 45 minutes away to Tempe. Service was great, dealership is nice and they had some new inventory including a 23 Quad.
I really hope they get this figured out, these aren’t cheap cars. One shouldn’t have to drive 45 minutes or more for service when there are multiple dealers. I love my Alfa but service and inventory is proving to be an issue.

Better question is How Good is your dealer? My dealer is 5 miles away and I am lucky because they are really good, but not perfect. I read too many comments on this forum regarding dealers not having the proper skills to diagnose Alfa problems. Seems there is also a built-in one week plus wait time on ordering parts to complete a repair. If the problem is not diagnosed correctly, then you have a car tied up at the dealer for weeks or months. Got my car back today after 18 days, simply to repair a failed turbo o-ring (a well known and common problem). Why should a $2 part not be kept in stock? Total labor was 0.6 hrs but took 18 days to complete. Again, I am lucky to have a good dealer, but service processes can be improved.
Your survey stopped short of asking the question to inform you of the real issue. You need to be asking 50-75,75-100, 100-125, 125-150, 150-175, 175-200, 200+ miles. I have to drive 135 miles to access a competent dealer in another state. After I take my car in for service, I have to make a second stop at the local
Porsche or bmw dealer in my state to get my state inspection. For Christ sake I can get to a Ferrari dealer in less than time than a comment Alfa dealer. I know this has to be an embarrassing question for a car manufacturer to ask after such mismanagement of the dealer network. Anxious to hear your solution.

I drive an hour and a half to a trusted dealer who knows how to service these cars and isn’t trying to make a quick buck selling me services I don’t need. My former dealer is only 40 minutes away but since changing ownership has been horrible to deal with. The service advisor tried to high pressure me into unnecessary repair work. When I asked for the complimentary inspection report with my routine oil change I was told they no longer provide that under the new management BUT they did the full inspection and everything was good except for the brakes that needed immediate replacement. I passed on the brake job and tried my now new dealer who told me the brakes could definitely wait a few months. As I was already there I asked them to do them then. Their price was hundreds less than my closer dealer. And they quickly spotted a radiator leak and bad turbo gaskets which were readily visible if you knew what to look for. Those were covered under my soon to expire factory warranty. Either the old dealer never did the full inspection or did it and was planning on doing those repairs out of warranty when they caused major problems. The new guys earned my trust and respect as they want to be your preferred Slfa dealer for like. When I buy another Alfa they will definitely have my business.

That’s a valid point. Without one location answering to schedule a service call I went elsewhere and went from spark plugs and oil at 30k to rear diff service and drive belt too. All together $1140 and I have no confidence this was really required. The dealer network is the problem.

Alfa shouldn’t be sold and serviced by Mopar and Fiat dealers. It brings the brand down, and thereby the perception of the brand. Guarantee if they focused on a better dealer market they’d sell more cars and be real competition for the brands that recognize this like Audi and BMW. These beautiful vehicles should be sold as the jewels that they are.

That's a really strange thing. I bought my 2022 QV from North Scottsdale and I can't say that I've ever had an issue getting in for service. Jon Kenney, my service advisor has always been really easy to work with, even when he's not working he still responds by text. Send me a PM if you haven't met with him yet.

My one complaint is that when buying an $85k luxury sedan I would expect the dealer to have service loaner cars, but they don't. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, the whole lot of them do, but Alfa Romeo doesn't. Puzzling.
Alfa Romeo Stevens Creek also never seems to have loaners. They have me walk about 1/2 mile down the street to Enterprise, which they (the dealer) claim to be ending its partnership soon. It's the only dealer near me that seems to have a master tech on-site, so going to other places seem like a gamble

The North Scottsdale dealership, aka the money one, doesn't even offer loaners. Might be because it's attached to the Dodge and Fiat dealerships, but still...

Wait... Does your dealership actually make you walk a 1/2 mile just to get a loaner? Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
