It may not make any real sense, but it has proven time and time again to be extremely effective -- cross-promotion. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is taking place in a galaxy far, far away, far away from where FCA vehicles roam, but that doesn't mean the two can't cross-promote in order boost sales and generate some more cash.

Indeed, FCA was smart and lucky to to seal a deal with Disney and Lucasfilm to cross-promote all its brands with the latest Star Wars instalment. It is amazing what setting your product to the iconic Star Wars theme music can do.

This week 7 television ads will premier that cross-promote FCA brands and the Star Wars movie. The brands included are: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat.

“There exists an all-powerful force in the universe. It surrounds us. Gives us strength. Turns fear into hope. And to those who seek to harness such power … This is what you’ve been looking for…”
Never has a Ram truck sounded so messianic.

The Renegade is advertised as a viewing point from which a cosmic battle of biblical proportions can be seen as a serene shooting star. Boy it's great to go star gazing in your Renegade.

And who would have thought that the Chrysler Town and Country could feel like such an accomplishment when accompanied by the Imperial March?

Dodge and Fiat both play on the duelling forces of the light side and the dark side.

Absent are a few brands, Like Alfa Romeo, but they could still be in the cards. After all we have yet to see 2 of the 7 commercials that have been promised to us.
