I thought about this a lot and was worried that I shouldn't have bought a "flashy red car", but she is complimented regularly for the beautiful colour.

The many colours of Alfa Rosso Competizione Tri-coat.

If you are looking are Rosso Competitione tri-coat, make sure you see it in different light (overcast, bright sun, evening, etc.). The color changes quite a bit, and not necessarily in a good way.

Also, is it $2200 nicer than the Alfa Rosso? If body section needs repaired, is there any chance in hell they’ll be able to match adjacent panels?

Beautiful pics! But is it me, or are you playing with the color in your photos? Most of these look nothing like my tri-coat (which looks significantly more burgrundy-ish) unless I fiddle with the tones.

Competition Red Vs. Alfa Red
"color activation" (gold base) under DIRECT artificial (natural) light.
Otherwise they look very similar...

Thank you for posting these pictures of some stunning cars. Alfa rosso all the way!

Nice, but colors are reversed.
Nope: the Tricolore must have the green close to the flagpole, otherwise it is the Mexican flag...
On a car or on an airplan, without a flagpole, it must point toward the bow (nose, front)
I attach a picture of the Air Force One
There have been many discussions in Italy about it but, for example, look at the color disposition on the Giulia GTAm...

BTW, my previous Tricolore (post #68) was set in the wrong way...

Clips or bonded?
Tri-coat red for the win.
Metallic blue for second place.
Metallic white.... bronze medal.

I have always said in used cars; "Buy the car not the color".
Found a Black one (my least fave color because of the maintenance) in a perfect spec for the perfect price. A Steal actually.
Dont know whether to be thrilled or dissapointed.
This thread is all about cars in one complete colour. I have ordered a Volcano Black car for delivery next month but I intend to add red stripes on the bonnet and sides (like the Carabinieri QV), the number 51219 (a tribute to a great uncle - his military service number) in white on the bonnet, two small lighting flashes in red either side of the rear number plate, the word Quadrifoglio in white on the rear bumper (so people following me know what the car is) and a full colour oversize Alfa Romeo decal on the roof. Pictures will be posted here when the car is done.

I think complete blackness (or any colour) all over a car is too much - a bit of personalised colour is needed.

Cheers
