It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

Not sure if I'm eligible to win again although getting a set of rears to pair with my fronts would be nice. :)

Either way, I like answering these questions.

The QV is 1 obvious choice because I think it's the best balance of performance and practicality if a person can only have 1 car (like my situation). But since the question implies that I would own at least 2 cars, then I would have a sporty practical EV and the ice car would be sporty only. So with that in mind, I'd probably choose an Aventador svj since I'm a Lambo fan

Honestly, I think BEV is the future. That said, if I got to keep one forever, I'd probably get a classic GT Junior or GTV, from the 70s. Can be dialed for high performance, and has electronics that I am capable of maintaining. I'd be concerned about the ECUs and other electronics over the course of 50 odd years for my QV.

Tough question - there's a lot of incredible cars out there! I think I'm going to be different though, and pick a VW Type 1, the original Beetle. It's a piece of history whose accomplishments have still not been replicated, nearly 100 years after it started rolling off the assembly lines.

Ultimately, when everyone is zipping around in 3s 0-60 EVs, driving slow will be a luxury - and a humbling reminder of where we came from.

When everyone is zooming around in their autonomous cars you'll be enjoying the ride, 'it's not about the destination but the journey' 🙌♥

My Giulia is perfect for me, of course. But if I could have any car, it’d have to be a Mclaren F1
Oh good choice!

Alfa Romeo 147 GTA and that fantastic Busso V6

My Father has painstakingly restored one peace by peace and its his pride and joy.
I hope I can keep it long after he's gone and pass it through my family for as long as we can!

Heres a link to how it sounded back in 2011
Yes, this is the very car:
