Got my Giulia last month drove it for about 10 days and has been in the shop since :-( I took it in because the airbag light came on, I was told it could be the battery and it would be a quick fix but it ended up being the sensor for the air bag. The part was back-ordered and is now missing and I am starting to think I should have gone with a BMW....

Has anyone else had this issue when trying to get parts for their car? Are all parts going to be coming from Italy or will they stock parts in the US? also I was number 80 on the back-order so that means there are 79 other people waiting for that part are any on here?

Did you at least get an Alfa loaner?

Ouch. I'd still rather have an Alfa Romeo than a BMW (even one without a Takata airbag).

I had to wait about a week for a replacement backup camera. Lets just say Alfa Cares does really care. I’m not sure if you went straight through the dealer or through Alfa Cares, but going through Alfa Cares seems the keep the dealer in check. I would just complain to your case manager (if you have one) and see what they can do. I’m pretty sure they’ll make it worth your while.

I called them at the end of week 2, they have been responsive but have given me the same info "cant find the part"

Gotta love paying for an Alfa and getting a Jeep for 18 days. They should at least refund you for the 18 days you have been deprived what you paid/are paying for.

Alfa Cares only takes notes, talks to the dealer, etc. You need them to escalate it (at first they will tell you this does not exist) for anything to happen.

Hopefully this does not happen with me, I brought mine into the shop 2 days ago (for a different issue) and was supposed to pick it up yesterday, but they called and said they need to keep it over night again because they had to order a part. They were at least able to get me into a Giulia loaner.

I also had an air bag warning light come on it the first month of ownership. It turned out to be a bad connection that took sometime to trace. Hey, it's an Alfa, they need some professional love sometimes just like my beautiful wife. I sold the 328coupe to have this Alfa with no regrets, even though it's been in the shop a couple times in my first (almost) 2 months of ownership. hang in there, it may take some time to have all the bugs exterminated, then do an early morning run on a winding mountain road.
