I have Xpel applied over my CF sill covers and I still have a scratch on the driver's side. These are pretty well protected from sunlight, so that there is little chance of the film self healing. Maybe I should give it some encouragement with a hair dryer or heat gun?I think they look very cool and definately something I am going to do this winter. Door sills will be first. I plan to have Bill Luke show me how to take the door sill off the next time I am in there. Steven is my service manager and is pretty nice. Someone already scratched the passenger side on the chrome version. I don’t think this will show scratches much or i will get some film and cut it to size.
I just can’t deal with this stuff until it cools off. My patience is not good on tooling around outdoors from now until October 1.
Personally I think this is the coolest looking add. My husband even said yeh, this is a must.
One quickly learns to "pick up your feet" to get in and out of Giulia; either that or just trash the car.
The lighted sill covers are there every time I open the doors and certainly have not "gotten old". They have a very good smile to cost ratio.
BTW: Don't bother with the aluminum fuel cap; that is just $80 wasted. It looks nice but functions poorly.
