Brake Rebuild

Hi All,

Do we have any experience around QV brake rebuilds and sourcing of dust boots and piston seals for the front calipers?

Looks like Brembo Japan does not supply rebuild kits forcing customers to replace the caliper itself - any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

Hard braking at the end of the Fuji Speed Way's front straight had its toll in view of our over heating issues...

Best Regards,

Nobu

I don't have personal experience yet but these are the products on my radar. Caliper rebuild kit and brake heat shield.

Note: not sure if the rebuild kit below would work for non-ccm.

@genyosai or @Alfissimo could probably speak more to this

I have the Girodisc CCM replacement rotors, and before I was smart enough to buy the titanium shields for the brake pads, I boiled my Castrol SRF fluid as well as fried my caliper seals and dust boots.

@Alfissimo is a good source for rebuild kits, but before Jason had any of what @chaiguy just shared, I bought my seals, boots and hardware kits (pins, springs, bridge bolt, etc.) from Rock Auto. They sell the Raybestos rebuild kits and hardware. I figured that since I love my Raybestos ST43 brake pads so much, their caliper kits were probably good, too.

I bought my titanium brake bad heat shields from Girodisc. Since use their CCM replacement iron discs, I needed them to help me with which shape pads (and therefor shields) I needed to use.

Where do you buy your raybestos st43 pads?
Plus 3 on the shields. I got mine from jason too, they have saved my calipers, 4 events so far . so much heat … here is after one hard day at the track, you can see the protective paint has burned off the rotor compared to my avatar pic
