BMW venom.....

Are you finding that your Giulia is angering BMW drivers ? Maybe it's just me, but the other day, on my normal commute to my office (in Race mode of course), a random 3 series *hitbox (driven by a very middle aged dude), decided to cross a double yellow line (as I passively moved into the right lane, he was behind me initially) and fly pass the car that was in front of me....I must tell you, I've noticed idiotic behavior like this before (usually from the pimple faced crowd) from drivers of the blue and white fan blade logo.....Maybe it's just me....just wondering....D :wink2:

We use a 4WD HLS (Hydraulically Linked Dyno). One of two located in the states (that we are aware of).
I trust you have a better method of cleaning tires before they're on the rollers.

Had a ball at the LRP event with the BMW club (Patroon) today....... until my tire shred to pieces....

They mostly had words of admiration except when I was signing in this morning and they saw 4 Giulias in the tech line. What I heard was........

"I wonder I many Giulias are going to make till the end of the day".....

I would have smiled and said "at least one" KMA:smile2:

Imagine how this BMW driver would have behaved if that Audi had instead been an Alfa: http://jalo.ps/FNnO5R1
Makes no sense. Lack of care for your own car as well as other people’s :surprise:
Okay. This belongs on another thread but the youtube video posted above took me to this one:

I think we can all relate but gave me a chuckle
My buddy has the M3, me the QV. We both switched cars on drive. Both agreed Alfa is more pleasurable to drive.

That is classic.
I haven’t really seen much venom from BMW drivers on the street but I’ve seen tons of WRX’s speeding to pass and then slowing down like they want to race. I don’t take it as mean spirited, I think the demo of WRX drivers is probably heavily skewed toward younger dudes and they want to show off their aftermarket exhausts. I had two just today do this lol

I had one do this to me last week on the interstate. Unfortunately for him he wasn't modded enough to out run my stock Ti so he saw tail lights and a turn signal blink when i changed lanes in front of him. LOL. I look at these situations as just a initiation into the Alfa family and hope they drive down to the Alfa Dealer and join our world of excitement and joy of driving something unique
.
An i3 today. Probably happy he's no longer driving (if that's the appropriate word) a Prius.

Phase 2 rwd ti here, did few runs with my buddy with his manual f80 m3, 40-100, lost by half a car lenth, pretty good for 2less cylinders haha
Haven't had my Giulia long enough to form an opinion, but in my 159 I would find that the sight of me would make the red mist descend for BMW and Audi drivers.

I just remind myself what Clarkson said in his review of the Alfa 166:

"Alpha males buy BMWs. Alfas are for nice people."

About a decade ago, I was cruising in my Superformance 427 Cobra Replica on a local interstate, when a late model 'Vette pulled up alongside of me, and we had a roll-on from about 50 mph to maybe 80 or so, when he waved and took an exit. A moment later, there was a highway patrol car right on my bumper and with great fear I started to slow to pull onto the shoulder, fearing a serious charge. The HP went around me and continued on, I think because he was seconds from seeing the two of us "street race." I vowed then to never risk that again.

I am not here to chastise others for a moment's acceleration, just relating my own experience. I greatly enjoy and use my Quad's power as often as I can, but never in a "street race."

NAM VET
