So how did the Giulias fare vs the "M" boys.....
This has been my experience as well. The GT3 drivers I know have nothing but praise for it. But then again, Porsche enthusiasts in my experience tend to be first and foremost car enthusiasts, and not so much suffering from brand insecurity. While I'm sure the BMW enthusiasts might feel threatened, the P-car crowd is fawning over the QV. A low mileage QV showed up on R-list and they were tripping over themselves with compliments for the QV. There isn't a new Porsche that comps with the QV for price or form.
I was running in the novice group as well but M3's were letting me pass by whenever I popped up in their rearview, drove with an M4 for a session and his 100 extra whp showed in the straight but the Giulia caught him in the corners easily. Overall great day, great crowd of people. Got a good laugh as I was the 4th Alfa in the tech line and I heard the guy checking @JerryNY ahead see me and exclaim "What is this the italian job!?"So how did the Giulias do against the "M" boys....??
Are they left braking and accelerating at the same time? Something seemed to throw off an electronic throttle warning light on a number of early reviews.I beg to differ.......
I exclusively left foot braked the entire 3 sessions a Lime Rock today (I have 2 witnesses from this forum that I gave rides to) and no issues whatsoever.....
So whoever is having issues with LFB, obviously is not doing it correctly and the car is noticing the screw up......
I was running the corsa exhaust, V2, and P1 tune and the real competition came from the M4. I don’t have a comparison to tracking stock but i know Chaiguy tracked last year with no tune and was running the tune this time around.Anyone with the Eurocompulsion tune tracking their car? I would love to know how it does against the M's.
Curious if there were any "Comp-Pak" M cars thereI was running the corsa exhaust, V2, and P1 tune and the real competition came from the M4. I don’t have a comparison to tracking stock but i know Chaiguy tracked last year with no tune and was running the tune this time around.
The M4 driver said he was running 400whp. I’m not too knowledgeable about bmw variations but that sounds like it would be the Comp-Pak.Curious if there were any "Comp-Pak" M cars there
I’m thinking of going back to Lime Rock in late August, hoping that the P2 is out before then to really give the bmws a show. When the P2 comes, bam.
That sounds light for a comp pak car...many straight M3/M4 w/ 425 have dyno'd at 420 RWHP which means the cars are underrated...The M4 driver said he was running 400whp. I’m not too knowledgeable about bmw variations but that sounds like it would be the Comp-Pak.

really??? they have a special Dyno??....last I recall the issue with putting a QV on the dyno was that you could not get solid pulls because the cars electronics shut the car down(not literally)...I believe Eurocompulsion tested the Quad and it turned out to be real close to the published 505.

there a thread on this??
Thanks:grin2:
That is our car, I drove to our Oklahoma shop where the Dyno is located. Broke the first trip there into a two day journey. Drove 23+hrs straight on the way home, definitely a bonding experience between man and machine. The car did great both ways with zero issues.well that answers that....so then the QV and the Comp-Pak cars make similar RWHP...
is this DYNO located in NY?? or did the car with NY tags go to the Dyno??..
Thanks
