Thanks, I hadn’t considered that. Actually makes sense!!
But at the same time don’t think you can safely drive up to Tahoe on Summer tires in January. Not even once.

oh you can definitely drive safely yearlong here where i live, but the wife INSISTED on all weather. So i bought those technos from ebay with the staggered rims in 19in with 30 and 35 aspect ratio tires and they have insane grip.

For Oakland, on a non-QV, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires will be both cheap and fantastic. Had them on both my Q4s when I lived in CA.

I use Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires as well on my 19” staggered Ti setup. They’re very grippy and affordable and work fine for Austin TX weather.

Here in SC, where we get heavy rains, and occasionally chilly weather I prioritize wet performance Thus Michelin AS3+ or later versions. NV

Got the Michelin AS4 rears installed two weeks ago from Discount Tires. They found the last two fronts in west Texas and shipped to the loca lDiscount store. This is for the staggard setup. I also got $110 discount on the set too.

Just put on some GMAX AS05s on my Ti Sport. So far I like them. We'll see how they do in the winter soon enough.
