Wanted to go for a late night drive and quick car was tonight. Started her up and bong bong bong....I got a message that the auto/start/stop unavailable, with check throttle sensor and engine light came on.

Thoughts?

Will it go away?

Curious if I hit both brake and accelerate pedal when I started the car and it triggered a similar error I have read.

Have had this a few times. It always goes away after a few drive cycles. Try re-doing the gas cap. My dealer said a while ago that a lot of the time it could be triggered by the emissions sensors just being overly sensitive and re-doing the gas cap almost always fixes it. Supposedly this is an issue that was fixed with the T57 software update. Got the update last week and so far so good. Time will tell for sure I guess.

I've had this when my front hood wasn't closed correctly. I've also had re-closing the gas cap solve it.

Had that right after purchase

Bought my car from a dealer in Cincy, and drove it home to Minnesota. After stopping in Chicago I got the same warning. Found a dealer in Chitown who cleared the code and since it didn't return the service guy told me to be on my way. When I asked him what had caused it he said "maybe some bad gas," then said: "who knows. You know how finicky Italian cars are." Not a great start to my Alfa ownership, but I've been trouble free in the month since (knock wood)

As stated it’s likely just a glitch, although hitting brake and throttle can cause a fault as well. A drive cycle or two should clear it, if not you’re dealer bound.

The throttle sensor/error warning is now gone. Now just no auto/start stop funding (with signal on dash). I hate driving in "A" mode.
You can tell the car wants to be pushed but being held back by nanny controls. UGH!!

I put in some more gas (albeit) I had 3/4 of a tank (93 octane too).

Let's see where it takes me in another day or so.
