Alfissimo "GTA" (inspired) Performance Springs for Giulia QV

Alfissimo’s "GTA" inspired Performance Spring for the Giulia QV (Stelvio QV)

Made in Italy

Our springs have been developed to have slightly higher rates to the OEM GTA spring and perform better than OEM or any other spring on the market. We call them the "GTA" springs in order to connect the GTA/m ECU software and our springs for the ultimate suspension package. Although inspired by the GTA suspension spring they are not a copy of the GTA spring. We ordered GTA springs for testing and concluded the GTA springs are still too soft and not what we wanted to bring to QV/GTA/m owners. The whole point of developing these springs was to go beyond what any spring on the market (lowering only) or from Alfa produce. We put a great amount of thought and testing into them.

Coupled with the GTA/m Suspension Software ECU the Standard QV is transformed. Overall: Much better handling, no wallow, less droop, no bump steer, no teeter or rear end squat, slightly sportier in A,N modes (less float) but still maintains the characteristics of those modes and what they are there for. D mode is much sportier but compliant, Race-mode is much more for track use.

Made in Italy with the same manufacturer that produces our 2.0L springs, they are of the Highest quality, engineering and craftsmanship.

We have opted for a 9.55-10mm (could settle to 10mm+) lowering only, based of the 2017 QV Spring height. We developed these upgraded springs to run with the GTAm suspension software or Standard software to be compatible on the track to practical on the street. These springs may be slightly more costly than off the shelf lowering springs but there has been more R&D put into these springs than the others on the market. These compliment the car, shock calibration and work well in all modes.

Details:

Available in Powder coated Red with the option to special order Black (incognito)

~10mm Lowering from 2017 ride height.

TUV certified/ISO 9000/9001 (Certified for use on roads in Germany/EU)- NOT AVAILABLE YET

Fits Giulia/Stelvio QV/GTA/m. (Does fit Stelvio QV)

*Testing completed with track sessions @Sonoma Raceway and many hours on the street and now sold all over the world including 2x GTAm cars.

Also now our CORSA Dual Rate Spring.

Coupled with the CDCM Suspension Software from the GTA/m Cars this is the ULTIMATE Upgrade and a game changer.

We are also looking into a more track rated spring but we will have news on that later this year 2023.

Just had my gta sport springs installed on my 2019 QV with 15,000 miles. The installer said he couldn’t get the bolts off to install the camber kit but he sprayed something on them to hopefully help with that so I can bring it back in a week or two. Is it fairly common that the bolts he’s talking about seize up on a relatively new car?

He said that the springs didn’t really drop the car much lower but that they would settle a bit after 150 miles or so. I can tell it’s a bit lower but was definitely expecting it to be lower. @Alfissimo how much lower should I be?

see this for height measurements any my data on “settling”

Yeah I've seen this before but Im still confused why the ride height doesnt look much lower. The guy at the shop said it came down around maybe a 1/4". For some reason I was expecting more of a drop. Not a big deal either way because I mainly upgraded for better handling characteristics.

GTA springs are 10mm lower than 2017 stock springs. It's not much.

Here is one with GTA springs, it settled a little more after this picture.

So these aren’t the same springs as the standard “GTA” springs? I’m guessing they’re the 10% stiffer versions?

Disregard, I just went further back in the thread to answer my own question…

BTW here is ST springs which are too low and too soft as you are well aware of. Handling suffered.

I ain’t gonna lie, I like the drop even though I’ve read all about the negative attributes of the ST springs!

Looks are not everything, I like the look too but the function of the springs does not match the looks with ST.

I had ST springs, horrible compared to our new springs. Even the GTAm Suspension software did not help it much. I think ours look good as well. Hard to beat the looks of this car even with 17' springs on it. ;)

I agree, look’s definitely aren’t everything. Looking forward to the GTA springs for now, software in the not so distant future.

Here's my stance on the ST springs. Basically slammed and useless. Super soft, bottomed out and scraped on every little dip, bottomed out trying to get into this very garage every day as well as over speed bumps.

Just made the car too nerve racking to drive... not enjoyable at all.

Now I can cruise on the highway without those worries... and with a passenger and luggage the trunk thanks to the dual rate track version!

Nice comfy ride, but then stiffens up hard under compression so never bottoms out.

Another stance photo with the @Alfissimo GTA track springs.

Guys! I canNOT express how much better/nicer these springs are than the KW ST springs. My car was slammed on the STs and the ride quality blew. With the STs I scraped everything and bottomed out so much on dips in the road, not to mention that it was such a pain to get into the lower levels of my parking garage at the office that I'd just stopped driving the car to work.

Now I can drive the car to work again, and we just took a 16hr round trip in style and COMFORT (photo above taken in St. Augustine, FL on the drive back to SC). No being on the constant lookout for little road imperfections that used to upset the car. Just drive.

I haven't done a track day with them yet, but that's coming really soon... maybe the weekend of June 24-25 if I can get on the roster at this point. I suspect these springs will also perform better on track than the STs simply because when pushing through off-ramps I can feel the dual-rate characteristic as the car stiffens up pretty good.

We'll see come track time.

are BOTH the Standard and Corsa/track springs dual rates? or just the corsa/track version?

jk. Just read the OP
Judging by the photos, the “track” springs look like they sit much lower in the back compared to the standard GTA springs. I briefly saw my car last night with the standard GTA springs, GMS camber kit and 5mm spacers installed. The rear didn’t look any lower to me and the front maybe a 1/4”.

maybe a tad lower. But the Black car also settled a little more than this. I can likely make adjustments if needed on next round of springs but for some this might be the spring of choice. Rides comfortable and a little lower than our Standard spring without compromising the front end.

So black car has “standard” GTA springs, red car has “track” GTA springs, correct?

I’m hoping once I drive my car a little it settles to where the black car is. That looks good. Right now the rear seems the same as the stock 2019 springs.
It will settle more.
