Alfissimo "GTA" (inspired) Performance Springs for Giulia QV

Alfissimo’s "GTA" inspired Performance Spring for the Giulia QV (Stelvio QV)

Made in Italy

Our springs have been developed to have slightly higher rates to the OEM GTA spring and perform better than OEM or any other spring on the market. We call them the "GTA" springs in order to connect the GTA/m ECU software and our springs for the ultimate suspension package. Although inspired by the GTA suspension spring they are not a copy of the GTA spring. We ordered GTA springs for testing and concluded the GTA springs are still too soft and not what we wanted to bring to QV/GTA/m owners. The whole point of developing these springs was to go beyond what any spring on the market (lowering only) or from Alfa produce. We put a great amount of thought and testing into them.

Coupled with the GTA/m Suspension Software ECU the Standard QV is transformed. Overall: Much better handling, no wallow, less droop, no bump steer, no teeter or rear end squat, slightly sportier in A,N modes (less float) but still maintains the characteristics of those modes and what they are there for. D mode is much sportier but compliant, Race-mode is much more for track use.

Made in Italy with the same manufacturer that produces our 2.0L springs, they are of the Highest quality, engineering and craftsmanship.

We have opted for a 9.55-10mm (could settle to 10mm+) lowering only, based of the 2017 QV Spring height. We developed these upgraded springs to run with the GTAm suspension software or Standard software to be compatible on the track to practical on the street. These springs may be slightly more costly than off the shelf lowering springs but there has been more R&D put into these springs than the others on the market. These compliment the car, shock calibration and work well in all modes.

Details:

Available in Powder coated Red with the option to special order Black (incognito)

~10mm Lowering from 2017 ride height.

TUV certified/ISO 9000/9001 (Certified for use on roads in Germany/EU)- NOT AVAILABLE YET

Fits Giulia/Stelvio QV/GTA/m. (Does fit Stelvio QV)

*Testing completed with track sessions @Sonoma Raceway and many hours on the street and now sold all over the world including 2x GTAm cars.

Also now our CORSA Dual Rate Spring.

Coupled with the CDCM Suspension Software from the GTA/m Cars this is the ULTIMATE Upgrade and a game changer.

Gadget Point-and-shoot camera Digital camera Font Gas

We are also looking into a more track rated spring but we will have news on that later this year 2023.

It worked twice for my car. I went from ST to stock, then from stock to GTA. I think you'll be OK.

It's the second time that I realized that grease would help.

How the hell did you use this tool to pull your ST springs???

The tool bottoms out before it's even close to compressed.

Trying to use one coil higher or lower requires the smaller cup, and the tool won't seat level using the smaller cups on next to outer coils.

You can see the tool bottomed out. It's dumb that the retaining bolts face each other. That's what's butting together and preventing any further compression.

use the smaller forks without the plastic inserts on the passenger side

the yellow zinc ones, they let you grab coils closer to the top and bottom.

Never mind.

I'm the idiot 🤣🤣

I got the rears done using the medium sized cups.

Was just a matter of figuring out the right coil combination to grab. I also pulled my park brake calipers for more room to work.

Thanks! The tool is working well 👌🏾

I'll do the fronts tomorrow.

Even though I didn't pull them, I need the rear lower control arm bolts and nuts because the shop that installed my KW ST springs removed them.

I also need the rear park brake to knuckle bolts because I DID remove those tonight!

Hurry up and get me these bolts lol!!!

I should have them in stock. I will get them out to you! Glad you're still alive. ;)

I know, right!? I've done so many track days on those rear lower control arm bolts, not knowing that they're one-time use!

Don't forget, I also need the bolts that mount the rear park brake caliper to the rear knuckle. Two bolts on each caliper. I removed my park brakes to make the rear springs easier to get to. Now I need those bolts, because they're one time use also.

By the way, changing out my front springs now.

@Emozine

Got it all done. Now that I'm a pro, I can change the springs out in my Stelvio lol!

OAN... if you want something done right, do it yourself! This is what I found while changing my springs. Group that installed my KW ST springs screwed up a lower spring seat on my front left strut, and busted off all the tabs on both of the rear lower spring seats!

@Alfissimo is ordering me all new spring seats.

Yup, mine were damaged as well, but not so bad that I needed to change them out. Great to hear you got it done!

Anyone ever have uneven fender gaps after installing springs?

Here's my:

Front-passenger

Very noticeable.

My previous springs seemed pretty even.

Any ideas?

Half joking but maybe accounting for the added weight of the driver, so empty the car isn't level

My left side have always been lower (OEM, ST Springs, Alfissimo GTA springs).

Sounds logical, with exception that the front passenger side has the most gap.

This is interesting. If that's the case, I wonder why I've never noticed as much as I work on my car.

I did some searching online for "uneven fender gaps after changing springs" and found a bunch of hits where people "complain" that their driver side gaps are less than the passenger side.

Lexus/Toyota, Honda and Mazda are just some examples where owners have posted about this same thing.

So I guess it's a thing.
Unless you decide to make spring spacers it is something you cannot change, so I would just let it go and leave it as it is. On cars with adjustable spring height you can also perform weight balacing, but apart from KW CDDC there are no such springs available for the Giulia. GMS is colaborating with Nitron to develop coilovers for the QV in the forseeable future.

If you did a weight balance, would you account for a driver? What about the gas tank?
I find that you have to drive the car for the springs to settle. Have you done this already?
