Just got off the phone with AlfaCares for the 5th time in the last few days.

They are unequivocally stating that there are no representatives of Alfa on this forum and that they are starting an investigation into that. I don't know who to believe about anything anymore.

I guess I'll just love the car with its warts cuz I'm tired of wasting so much energy fighting about something I won't be allowed to have with no indication of why.

No idea. AlfaCares, via phone number, have stated that to me a few times now. I know I have been told information that is unverifiable by any other entity within the AlfaCares organization. Just raising the alarm that maybe anything said should be taken with a grain of salt.

I, personally, hope it isn't true.

Furthermore, I have contacted AlfaRomeoCares via PM and they have given me more update info. on my order then my dealer or Alfa Romeo Customer Service chat......

Alfa Romeo Customer service chat is just a waste of time in my opinion, but I keep on checking in everyday......>:)

But it's info. no one else can tell you right...so no way to say if it's real or false. Let the conspiracy begin!

They'd also have to be pretty good hackers to be able to obtain and use a range of Chrysler IP's without Chrysler noticing and go to all that trouble for the sake of an elaborate trolling session. Looks like Alfacares doesn't know what's going on. Don't think we need any tin foil hats today ;)

That's good. Trust me I told the phone people I didn't believe that to be true but just thought I'd let the forum know tat maybe they should be a touch cautious as crazier things have happened.

Most likely explanation, given my experiences, is that FCA is quite bad at internal communication.

This would be an internal miscommunication with in FCA. I know for a fact that FCA does monitor message boards. At least they do for Maserati because I have talked with them directly by phone before and have received emails from them with screen shots of chats that are going on in forums.

Guys, let me flex my librarian chops here. Attention to detail is important. Make sure we are talking about "AlfaRomeo Cares" vs. "AlfaCares." The info I have gotten from AlfaRomeoCares and the restrictions on it seem very above board and professional. It corresponds with what I have heard from the dealer, MacGeek and AlfaRomeoGM, and Alfa Romeo CS Chat.

The phone and chat functions did not impress me with their knowledge level when I was trying to track down the car I ordered.

Corporate might think order, parts collection, completion, shipping and customs issues are all typical relative their global distribution. The stories I heard in the spring about some cars getting parts changed or waiting for parts for extended periods while idle may look a lot more common in the global view. Still, it shouldn't be hard for FCA to release a statement or "guidance" about the new dealerships and distribution work ups.

Hi MrMegadeth,

I can assure you we are a part of FCA's Customer Care department. I'd be happy to share my credentials with you in a private message or over the phone if you would prefer. I will also be following up with your case specialist to review this further and to alert them we are actively engaging on this forum.

PM would be great.

I did tell my AlfaCares case manager that I didn't believe the fake representative story but there is just a lot of confusion running around through the community I thought I'd spread some more :wink2:
