I spent a considerable amount of time hanging out at COTA with Tim Munday of BAM! Motorsports this past weekend, who is fielding the Giulietta TCR in Pirelli World Challenge. It's a great-looking car (the most important thing for a racecar! LOL) and showed proper speed once they got the right tune on it. In the first race, Martin Jensen (driving the Alfa) finished a respectable 4th, behind the factory effort from Hyundai (1-2) and Ryan Eversley in the Realtime Civic, despite running on a 90% power tune. They finally got the correct tune to take at about 2am on Sunday morning and Jensen had a good start to the second race, getting up to 3rd place on the first lap. Unfortunately, on only the second lap, Eversley made an overly optimistic move that resulted in contact, breaking the Alfa's LR suspension.

They Alfa TCR will be contesting the next round of the PWC Touring Car races at VIR on April 27-29. We should see Martin Jensen in the red car again, with a to-be-named driver in the other. To shamelessly plug my effort, I am actively trying to find partnership to fund my way into replacing Jensen after VIR, which is what Tim is looking for. I couldn't pull it together before the start of the season, so Tim got things kicked off with Martin in order to showcase the car. If anyone knows of anyone who is involved with a business that could stand to benefit from utilizing pro racing as a promotional platform, please reach out to me. In the meantime, let's cheer on the Alfa to take it to the Hyundais and Hondas!

Note that the white car is on transport wheels/tires so it'll fit in the trailer.

I was at COTA for the PWC as well and was so happy to see the Alfa in the race. It was great to see it take P4 at 90% tune and I was really looking forward to Sunday's performance. As you mentioned about the incident involving Eversley, it was a tough day for the Alfa. You could tell that Martin was going to do really well at 100% tune with taking P3 in just one lap.

I wish you the best of luck with becoming a driver in the Alfa! Do you have a twitter account by any chance that I could follow? I would love to keep up especially if you do take over for Jensen.

Here is a link to some of the pictures I took at COTA.

I do, but I'd recommend following my facebook pages, as that's where I'm more active. If something happens, it will likely be for 2019, but we'll see...
