The dealer sold me the part but was charging $500 for the attachment, on older models it is a simple process but seems way more complicated on the newer--hoping someone knows. if all else fails, will go to technician.
On today’s cars there’s often a reason such a “simple” job is expensive. Also, consider that everything inside (and related) to that door will be open for warranty denial of coverage. One small mistake in assembly that allows water in and shorts out something will wash all your “savings” away. There’s a reason to pay the dealer during the warranty period, and it isn’t charity.
