I have not done so on the Alfa yet, but what I did do on another late-model car with no factory CD is put a Walkman type CD in the console, connected to the aux input. A couple of AA batteries will run it for a year or so. Just be sure to get one with a good "jog" (antivibration) mode. It took me a couple rounds on eBay to figure that one out.

How large a CD collection do you have? I uploaded mine to iTunes years ago and have never regretted.

I use Windows Media Player and a big USB flash. It is so much more convenient than dragging CDs around and doesn't come with corporate spyware like Apple Itunes. It is also one less distraction while driving.

Of course you need a player that can read a flash in the car. It was my understanding that Giulia's system can do so.
