Hi from Chicago! Took delivery at the end of the year. Love the drive. Trying to find the sweet spot seat position.

Really drives like a dream. Autobarn of Evanston went the extra mile and let me test drive over the Dec 25th long weekend!!

Initial objections became desire for workarounds due to the test drive.

Being in Chicago I need the remote start to activate the seats and steering wheel. Service loaned me a Stelvio while investigating it. How great is that!

The experts in Detroit said it was working and that I needed to have the ac recirc button in ‘a’ mode for it t work.

A great drive to upstate Wisconson proved it didn’t do the trick.

Anyone know how to get it working? Cold hands want to know!

Love the car. Want to fly less in order to drive!

I can identify with the desire for pre-warmed seats and steering wheel. My previous two cars had it, and I miss being about to drive off without wearing gloves. I don't recall anything in the manual about the recirc button playing role but will re-check. I have left mine off to avoid fogging.

On the plus side, I remote started my car from inside a store today far from any windows and doors. Its exhaust, while not as distinctive as the modified systems I've enjoyed hearing here, still led me to my parked beauty as if with music.

I'm curious whether you were in direct contact with someone in Detroit, or that's just what your dealer said.

My Quad is garaged at home but obviously outdoor while at the office...the Maserati's remote start keeps the settings where they previously were...IE - Heated seats, Steering wheel, Heat all the way up....strange that it would work on the Ghibli and not the Quad....

Thanks for the replies and welcomes!
The local service tech was in touch with the factory. Silly me, I thought across the pond. Then he said Detroit.
I tried all combinations and now will let them know they have more research and maybe an update to install.
I was considering the Acura TLX for bells and whistles, but after the test drive I could not go back. Pics soon.

If you can get a name, maybe I know someone who knows someone. Detroit's a small town at times.

All but one of the rabbis I have known have driven sensible cars. Maybe that's part of a desired image? An Alfa sure sounds cool, though maybe not on Yom Kippur.

Thanks. Right now I am on plane which has been cancelled and the next is later and later. I should have driven to STL!

If I can get a name i will.

Btw, AWD, great handling, and good pickup amd safety features is 95% sensible. Then the 5% is my smile.

Welcome :smile2:
Congrats :grin2:

Very nice! Another Montecarlo blue Q2. We've got 10,000 miles on our 17 without issue. Such a nice driver!

What interior did you get? We went with the cream Lusso interior and I added dark 5-hole wheels after the fact.

Welcome, and congratulations from another Autobarn Evanston customer. Like you, the test drive did me in, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Agree that it would be great to have the seats and wheel come on with remote start. Hopefully a software update can rectify this and other small issues (park assist buzzer while in Park). Enjoy!

Chicago Alfa Club annual get together banquet coming up soon. Check this out if you are interested. http://www.giuliaforums.com/forum/8...owners-annual-alfa-club-banquet-jan-27th.html

Hey my clock also kept going to 24h in first week. Would happen within an hour. Then it stopped doing that so it's a distant memory. Strange but at least it's fixed. Might have had something to do with battery not being 100% fully charged up?

I have the sports package. Gave up unknowingly on the tilt seat motion. Black leather, leather trim. Looking at the cream, it might be my next choice! I kept the stock 5hole wheels with red calipers. It is also a Q4. If I can get to wash the salt off, I will snap some pics! For now, my wallpaper and lock screen on my phone are stock photos.

Kaevman, over the forums it does seem that there is a steady state reached over time. As an engineer (yeh and the Rabbi), I understand the condition but would work to avoid such things.

MPMB, thanks for the heads up. I can’t make the banquet but hope to get together somehow. Who was your salesman? I had Christine, then Kane came in. Kane is an amazing gearhead and a great Alfa advocate. Also met the owner of the Autobarn. Great friendly guy.

Mazal tov! Great choice on the Performance Pack. As for seat tilt, it is a bit perplexing how you have to choose between having it, or having more supportive seats. Quadrifoglio standard seats have both the seat tilt and the more supportive shape, I guess maybe it would be possible to retrofit the feature on ordinary sport seats using Quadrifoglio parts, but it may turn out to be an expensive proposition.

Thanks. Like I said, it was unknowingly given up since the seat was so nice, I didn’t notice on the test drives!

Buying a QV for the tilt would be just what I don’t want to tell my wife! I will get a 48hr involuntary observation im a padded room!!

Same here. It is a disappointment for sure. A poor example of FCA cost cutting. And my “Product Specialist” salesman was anything but. I’m investigating two options: Lusso/QV seat base for power adjustment (likely cost prohibitive) and a simple spacer for fixed incline to get the thigh support I need to be comfortable on longer journeys.

I worked with Kane also. Yes, he's a true gearhead and very knowledgeable about the brand. Richard the owner is an Alfa nut from way back, and his enthusiasm is infectious to his team. No wonder they were the leading Midwest dealer for Nov and Dec. Enjoy your car!!
