This is the Motor Trend long term press car that the company bought in mid-2018 after they declared the Giulia as the 2018 car of the year. This specific Giulia has seen the roads of Michigan, California, and just about every state in between during many cross country journeys. Just about every butt in Motor Trend's editorial team has been in the driver's seat. This car has been in magazines, online articles, road tests, track tests, journalistic adventures, and much more. Many of the benchmarks and specifications you've read online were measured using this vehicle. It might even be possible that you have personally referenced this car while going through the process of purchasing one. Either way, I am blessed to be the new owner of this incredible car with quite an interesting story behind it.
I obtained this car on December 23rd 2019. I graduated college recently and landed a great job, so I thought I'd get myself something nice. When the Giulia launched in 2016, I knew this was the car I dreamed of owning one day and I vowed to eventually buy one when I had the means to do it. This was the first car I ever bought personally, and it is a huge upgrade over the 15 year old station wagon I've been driving around for the past 5 years. Getting my hands on this car was no easy task because I wanted a very particular spec with the proper color combinations and option packages. I refused to settle for anything less, so my search for the right car took well over a year. Also when I finally found this car, it was being sold 1,200 miles away. I had to negotiate on the phone and hop on a plane to pick it up, then drive it 19 hours home in enough time to make it to Christmas dinner with my family. I've owned this car for over 2 months now and I couldn't possibly ask for anything better. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the build quality (despite what some people say). Taking into consideration how many times this car has exchanged hands, nothing is broken, worn out, or falling apart, even after being tracked and thrashed by dozens of people.
