Passenger floor mat attachment - am I missing a part?

My drivers side floor mat has velcro discs on the floor and the back of the mat where they attach. My passenger side has holes in the floor mat and round sections (not velcro) on the floor. How does the passenger side floor mat attach to the floor? Am I missing a piece that attaches to the floor and goes through the holes in the mat and twists (like a Toyota)? I have OEM floor mats and bought the car last week - it's an 18 with 3k miles.

Not sure. I chalked it up to production errors. The velcro on my Quad does stick to the carpet. I bought winter mats and pin striped them for my car. May never use the stock ones. They sit in the trunk.

My Q4 has 2 very strong and large velcro attachments at the back edge and 2 very large plastic pins on the top/front edge.

I just checked and the mats were installed with the holes near the seat. Felt up under the dash and found the pins. Flipped the mat around and done. Thanks for the help.

A lot of Giulias seem to be coming with the passenger mat flipped 180degrees. Mine is Feb 2017 (UK) and it was like that for a month until I realised the pins for the holes were by the fusebox. Fast forward to 2019 and same story across the world!! What a joke.
